About us

The company was founded in April 2003 under the name Solar Heat & Power Europe GmbH in the German “Energy”-state of North-Rhine-Westphalia. Due to the expansion of business fields and concurrently with the relocation to Hamburg in September 2006 the company has been renamed to Sustainable Heat & Power Europe GmbH. Since 2005 we are present in Spain with a subsidiary company located in Málaga at the Costa del Sol.

We provide services for the authorisation process, the project development, the design and project management of solar (thermal) systems and power plants, biogas power plants and fossil combined heat and power plants.
Solar systems are supplied by us on a turnkey basis.

Our key personnel possess extensive knowledge and vast experience from the conventional AND the renewable energy business. Whenever possible we seek a synergy solution between the technology fields rather than pressing for a sub-optimal puritan solution.
Because of the chance lying within this approach we see solar-thermal power plants to be one of the main elements of a future cost-effective and sustainable energy supply system.

We are member of the competency network power plant technologies of the German state of North-Rhine Westphalia side by side with renowned players of the global energy business.
In Mülheim/Ruhr we were engaged in the local Agenda 21 for climate protection. In this context we have planned and installed the first ever photovoltaic system build on a public school but purely privately funded by citizens.

We are cooperating with a variety of partners from the conventional and renewable power plant and energy business, with universities and research institutes, as well as with organisations active in the field of project finance and emission trading.
