SHP Know How in CSP plants well received

Puerto Errado 2

Since June 2012 Sustainable Heat & Power Europe GmbH is involved in the execution of the solar thermal power plant Puerto Errado 2 located in the province of Murcia/Spain. Here the German high temperature solar collector manufacturer Novatec Solar is constructing the world largest Fresnel collector technology power plant together with a joint venture of the Spanish companies OHL and TSK. The so called CSP (concentrating solar power) plant has a capacity of 30 MW. Owner of this plant is Tubosol, which is mainly owned by various Swiss energy suppliers and utilities. SHP Europe is executing its services under a sub-contract from TÜV Rheinland Energie und Umwelt, which is the Independent Certifier in this project. Our task is to provide the representative of the Independent Certifier. This role is including the witnessing and certification of the various acceptance tests, the evaluation of the execution progress until final hand-over, and especially the mediation and determination between the project parties in case of deviating views about scope, specification and technical approaches. So all parties are benefitting from the decade long experience in the power plant business and CSP technologies SHP Europe is bringing to the project.
